1. Is LiFePO4 battery safe to use?
The lithium iron phosphate material does not contain any toxic substances and will not cause pollution to the environment. This makes it a recognized green battery globally.
Additionally, the battery is not polluting during production or use, and has a low chance of exploding or catching fire in the event of a collision or short circuit. This greatly reduces the risk of injury.
2. What are the advantages of LiFePO4 batteries compared to lead acid battery?
1) They are safer for the environment since they do not contain toxic or harmful substances, and there is no risk of fire or explosion.
2) LiFeP04 batteries have a longer cycle life compared to lead acid batteries. LiFePo4 batteries can reach up to 4000 cycles or even more, while lead acid batteries only have a range of 300-500 cycles.
3) batteries are lighter in weight but more powerful.
4) Free upkeep. No daily maintenance or expenses. Long-term advantages of using LiFePO4 batteries.
3. Can the battery be used in series or parallel for higher voltage or larger capacity?
Yes, it is possible to put the battery in parallel or series. However, there are some important tips to keep in mind.
1)It is essential to ensure that the batteries have the same specifications such as voltage, capacity, and charge to avoid damaging the batteries or shortening their lifespan.
2)It is recommended to follow a professional guide while performing operations.
3)Alternatively, please contact us for further advice.
4. Is it okay to use a lead acid battery charger for a lithium battery?
Actually, it is not recommended to charge a LiFePO4 battery with a lead acid charger, since lead acid batteries charge at a lower voltage than what LiFePO4 batteries require. Due to this, SLA chargers won't charge your batteries to their full capacity. Additionally, chargers with a lower amperage rating won't work with lithium batteries.
So, it is better to charge lithium batteries with a special lithium battery charger.
5. Can a lithium battery be charged in freezing temperatures?
Yes, Jilipow lithium batteries can operate at temperatures ranging from -4-149°F (-20°C to 65°C).
They can also be charged in freezing temperatures, thanks to the optional self-heating function.
